Cans

This coming Friday, November 10th 2017, will be a huge day for Bearpaw River Brewing Company. When we open the doors at high noon we will be in full party mode. The reason? To herald the launch of the Frontiersman IPA in cans. That’s right, 6-packs baby! All packaged up by the BRBC team for your ease and convenience. They will only be available out of the taproom for now, so if you have a hankering for fresh Frontiersman IPA in ultra-cool spanking new cans, the taproom is the place for you my friend.

So swing by to help us celebrate. There will be pizza by the slice from Pizzaria Delphi from Noon to 4pm, and then from 4pm to 8pm Wasilla's own Big J's BBQ will be on site with brisket and pulled pork sliders. Yum. Big J will also bust out some limited edition koozies to go with your newly acquired Frontiersman cans. Plus we'll have eight beers on tap, including the Frontiersman IPA, of course, but also our newest single hopped Centennial Double IPA, brewed to commemorate Wasilla’s 100th birthday this year.

For about 1/200th of the City’s glorious existence (i.e. six months or so) we have been working hard to get these cans out the door. Cask Global Canning Solutions worked with us to get a canning line of top-notch quality and craftsmanship, and one that works with the space we have available in the brewery.

Packleader USA helped us with the labelling machine, which will give us the versatility to put a bunch of different beers in cans down the road – our Mat Maid Milk Stout and Hatcher Pass Pale Ale, but also a lot of one-off IPAs. No doubt other styles will pop up in cans as well, depending on what strikes the fancy of Jake and the rest of the BRBC Crew. And with the labels themselves, which we all personally think are pretty snazzy, we’ve been lucky to work with the great team of illustrators and designers at Saltwater Creative. Help on the canning project has come from many other friends and partners, including advice from many generous folk working in the craft beer business all around our great State, and especially from Rob and the team at Specialty Imports. So getting to this can launch has been a collab of epic proportions, and we feel it’s nigh time we celebrate. Who’s with us?
